The caravan’s age and style infer its previous owner, Hester’s mother, and the trauma inflicted by previous generations. The two-level wedding table, chandelier, elaborate rug and plentiful greenery provide an aristocratic feeling to the weathered world Hester and her caravan are stuck in.
